Montego Bay has the best collection of golf courses in Jamaica. Tyrall an 18 hole Golf Course being one of the best in the Caribbean. Many tournaments are held here, the course originally built on a 19th Century sugar plantation. Reggae worshipers will want to visit the Bob Marley experience, a 68 seater theatre celebrating the life and works of the great artist.

    Ocho Rios is also located on the northern side of the island and is the second major tourist town. Attracting more than 700,000 tourists each year Ocho Rios offers excellent accommodation, beaches and lush vegetation. Described as the garden center of Jamaica, in particular the area of the Dunns River Falls is a sight to behold. A series of waterfalls cascade from the mountains towards the sea and can be experienced first hand as Jamaican guides navigate groups to climb their way up the falls. 007 fans can delight in visiting the James Bond Beach in town of Oracabessa, just West of Ocho Rios and take a helicopter tour or go horseback riding along the beach.

    Kingston is the capital of the island, lying on a wide plain, the sea to the South and the St. Andrew Mountain at its backdrop in the north. The town was built on the waterfront and has the seventh largest natural harbour in the world, here you will find people enjoying the sunshine, conversing and buying the local produce. A modern and bustling city Kingston never sleeps and there is a wealth of facilities from restaurants to gift shops for tourists.

    A Caribbean Scuba Diving Vacation

Sadly in 1996 an inactive volcano that is situated on the island became active again and devastated many scuba diving locations along with the main town including homes, hotels and attractions. It is not fully understood how much damage occurred to the coral reef and in fact local residents claim the volcano has not affected the diving nearly as much as is rumored and besides when will you ever get an opportunity to witness an active volcano from a safe distance like you can in Montserrat.

    Another incredible Caribbean scuba diving vacation is the British Virgin Islands. Made up of a group of smaller islands, these islands are very popular tourist destinations. Scuba divers can take advantage of amazing caves, sinkholes, canyons and ledges. Probably the most visited dive sites in the British Virgin Islands is the Painted Walls where you will experience all the wondrous colors of the rainbow while you dive.     Nevis, due to a lack of tourist promotion is a largely unknown Caribbean scuba diving vacation spot, with plenty of fascinating scuba dive sites stretched along the east of Nevis to the west end of St. Kitts. You really must plan to travel around the entire island to appreciate the complete assortment of sites accessible. There are plenty of both inshore and offshore diving with an astonishing natural coral reef that is home to numerous species of corals and some amazing sea life such as sea turns maybe even some sleeping turtles.
